Philosophy
The Colonel Light Gardens Primary School OSHC & Vacation Care services believe in providing quality care in a safe, happy and caring environment. We cater for children’s emotional, physical and intellectual well-being by offering a wide range of social-learning experiences and stimulating recreational and educationally appropriate activities for 5-12 year old children in both indoor and outdoor spaces that are accessible to all.
Our services believe in creating an environment which fosters cooperation, care and respect for oneself and others, and where all children, families and staff are treated as equal and valued individuals.
Our services acknowledge that the children and parents who use the service come from a diverse range of backgrounds, and therefore is inclusive of all individuals regardless of their gender, race, religion, age, impairment, marital status, pregnancy, sexuality, political conviction, family responsibility or family status.
Our services value and encourages community involvement and is a place where all children, parents, care-givers and staff feel comfortable and welcome.
We believe our services function most effectively when there is a positive working partnership between all stakeholders including school, management, staff and community.
